Northeast Florida encompasses Duval, St. Johns, Clay and Nassau Counties. Land mass size makes Jacksonville the largest city in the United States and it takes up the whole county of Duval.
Northeast Florida is really the gateway into Florida and with easy access to all areas of the state either by car, train or airplane we really do have so much to offer.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are our local NFL team and fairly new to the NFL. For baseball enthusiasts we have the Jacksonville Suns with their beautiful stadium. Jacksonville offers so much with our theaters, Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, Ballet, Golf courses & local events such as the annual Air & Sea show. We are fortunate to have our two navy bases and our local military personnel.
We have region rich in history and one visit to St. Augustine which is only a 25 minute drive south of Jacksonville will start your journey through history.
Jacksonville is surrounded by water with the Intracoast river, St. Johns River and the Ocean. We have so many different neighborhoods that offer water front, water access to these larger bodies of water at such an affordable price and no one really know they exist. With waterways come bridges and we have 7 bridges that are our main modes of access to other parts of the city. Be careful when reading the names of the bridges the locals have their own names that may confuse the newcomers. For example, the official name of the bridge on 9A leading over the St. Johns is officially named the Napoleon Bonaparte Broward Bridge, us locals call it the Dames Point.
I would love to share all my knowledge with you on the city so feel free to contact me and I will send you a relocation guide with information on our cities of northeast Florida, schools and any other information you may need along with a map that I would suggest you use when you come visit. Manuevering through all these areas can at first be challenging. You may just end up at the beach for dinner when you wanted to go to the river.
